Yamilette Williams

Yamilette served as Tulsa Public Schools' Director of Instructional Technology, led professional development for Broward County Schools and project management with Gary Community School Corporation. She currently serves with Evans Newton, Inc., managing turnaround and transformation programs.

Terry Duryea

Terry was former CFO of McAfee where he also held a number of operating roles. He founded a number of Internet-based companies after leaving McAfee, often serving as CEO during the companies’ formative years.

Patrick Pohlen (Secretary on Board)

Patrick is a partner in Latham & Watkins' Silicon Valley office, where he is the chair of the firm's Emerging Company Practice.  He is one of the nation's leading attorneys in representing technology, clean technology and life science companies and the financial institutions (venture capitalists and investment banks) that finance them.

Don Holznagel

Don was director of the Technology Program at the Northwest Regional Educational Lab, conducting R&D in the areas of courseware evaluation, technology planning and distance education, and held similar leadership positions in Minnesota and the southeast states.

Alice Santiago

During her tenure at Boston Public Schools, Alice pioneered a number of innovative technology integration programs while also teaching at Lesley University and Wheelock College. She has been recognized with state and national awards for her contribution to educational technology innovations.

Chuck Amos

With 17 years of experience in the education market, Chuck excels at domestic and international markets, growth companies, sales management, organizational development and strategic business development. He has worked with a wide range of education companies in various market areas and has helped myriad organizations achieve their goals, manage growth effectively and maximize opportunities at each stage of organizational evolution.

Deepak Karandikar

Deepak has over 15 successful years of experience in educational technology, telecommunications and finance. For the past eight years, he’s been dedicated to the educational technology field, representing technology organizations to improve the quality and accessibility of education globally. Prior to joining PLATO Learning, he served in business development management positions with Bank of America, Verizon, Intercall, Microsoft and Elluminate (now Blackboard Collaborate). He lives in San Francisco, California, with his wife, travels internationally and speaks Portuguese and Spanish fluently.

Kathy Brant

A consultant to the educational technology industry, Kathy offers over 20 years of experience in helping companies develop strategic plans for growing business and building great products that serve the market. She has run her own entrepreneurial venture as well as holding senior positions at various companies, including Macmillan-McGraw-Hill and Learning.com. 

Arthur A. Vandenbark, Ph.D.

A graduate of Stanford and Washington State University, Arthur is a Senior Research Career Scientist at the Portland VA Medical Center and Professor of Neurology and Molecular Microbiology & Immunology at Oregon Health & Science University. He has many years of teaching experience at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels in Immunology, has successfully completed numerous individual and program grant awards, and has pioneered several new therapies for autoimmune diseases. Arthur served on the Board of Directors at the National College of Natural Medicine, Portland, OR, and has nearly 20 years of corporate consulting experience in translating concepts to products.

Lee Perrin, MD

A graduate of MIT and the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, Lee specializes in Anesthesiology and is vice chairman of his department at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center of Boston. Highly experienced in organized medicine, he also brings extensive experience with bylaws, parliamentary procedure and organizational structure. He has been educating anesthesia residents for the past 29 years in the OR and the classroom, and when it comes to effectively integrating technology into instruction, Lee is considered an expert in his field.

Mark Oronzio

Mark has over 25 years of experience working with technology, 17 of which have been focused on educational technology. Mark now consults with several technology companies in planning and implementing global business development strategies while also advising and coaching executives.
